Open Game Solitaire Games
Open Game Solitaire refers to the set of solitaire card games where the faces of all the cards are visible when the game is first started. Unlike some solitaire games where some of the cards are hidden, Open Game Solitaire variations typically place a greater emphasis on skilful gameplay than lucky draws.
Perhaps the most popular example of an Open Game Solitaire variation is Gaps Solitaire (also called Montana Solitaire or Spaces Solitaire). The objective of this game is to sort four shuffled rows of cards into suits by moving one card at a time. The one restriction is a card can only be moved into a space if it is of the same suit and one higher than the card to the left of it. This deceptively simple game is easy to learn yet can provide many occasions for strategic play to get the fastest solution.
